Katy Perry has been confirmed for an exclusive UK performance of her brand new single, Part Of Me during the live Grand Final of BBC One’s Let’s Dance for Sport Relief on Saturday 17 March. She joins JLS who will also entertain the audience with a special performance of their Sport Relief single, Proud, during the show that will see eight finalists pulling out all the stops as they dance into the spotlight once more in a bid to be crowned the Let’s Dance for Sport Relief 2012 Champion.
Get ready for a Katy Perry concert movie because it is coming your way this summer — in 3-D, of course. The Grammy-winning pop star announced the news herself via Twitter on Wednesday that “Katy Perry: Part of Me” is headed to a theater near you.
“FINALLY, my MOVIE is coming out with Paramount this summer!” Perry tweeted to her nearly 16 million followers. “It’s called “KATY PERRY: PART OF ME” Presented In 3D! KATYCATS-LETS TREND #KP3D” Katy tweeted.
Paramount Pictures confirmed the project to MTV News.
“Teenage Dream,” Katy Perry‘s sophomore album which spawned a record-tying five No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, will be rereleased as a special edition on March 27. “Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection” will feature three new songs, as well as four re-workings of her “Dream” hits, along with the entirety of the original album.
“Confection” will include the Kanye West-assisted version of Perry‘s single “E.T.,” the remix of “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” featuring Missy Elliott, a Jon Brion-produced acoustic version of “The One That Got Away,” and a 7-minute Tommie Sunshine mega-mix of the album’s six singles. The three new songs do not yet have announced titles, although two Perry tracks, “Dressing Up” and “Part of Me,” surfaced online last month before being hastily removed.
“This is the complete story of ‘Teenage Dream,’” says Perry — who tied Michael Jackson‘s “Bad” last year by scoring five Hot 100 No. 1 singles from a single album — in a press release. “It was an incredible honor to tie the King of Pop’s Billboard Hot 100 record, but I’m moving forward and had a few things left to get off my chest. So this is the complete special edition of my album for my fans.”
(Perry and Jackson will remain tied for the most Hot 100 toppers from any album regardless of the performance of any singles from “Confection.” Should any song released from “Confection” reach No. 1, it would count as a Hot 100 No. 1 from “Confection” and not “Dream“).
Perry is scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards ceremony for the second straight year this Sunday (Feb. 12). The pop star is nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Firework,” one year after earning six nominations, including Album of the Year for “Teenage Dream.”

Katy Perry is no stranger to donning blue colored hair, but the drastic change suddenly has grabbed some attention. It stands to reason since her divorce from Russell Brand that the California Gurls singer would want to go back to one of her trademark hair colors.
The media was speculating that Katy wanted to seek change a newly single woman again, but her hairstylist tells a different story.
Hairstylist Rita Hazan says, “Katy wanted to go this particular color blue for a few weeks now.”
Hazan adds that the blond color pictured of Perry in December “was not an interim shade. She knew it wouldn’t be permanent — just another Katy Perry look!”
Katy Perry loves to experiment with different shades of colors for her hair. When she was married, her hair was dark for a longer period. Her blue hair matches that of the lollipops, candy canes, cupcakes, and ice cream themes she is famous for. Now that she and Russell Brand are split, fans can expect to see more of the Katy who showed this side of herself before.
